The State of North Carolina is working to improve NC.gov.

In Fall 2010, a survey was conducted to determine what North Carolinians are looking for in their gateway to government services. Survey results showed they value good contact information, desire a better search engine, and want to see more online services, with better navigation and a more modern design.

The Office of the State CIO is working to provide these items. As a result of the survey, the contact page was improved; a new employee directory and a new search engine will be unveiled soon. Further improvements are also being planned.
